White Kitchen – Bold Accents for a New Style

White is a crisp, clean color, and it is perfect for a kitchen. It brings with a bright, neutral backdrop that lets you use virtually any accent color that you wish. With a blank white canvas you have the option of making your kitchen into anything that you want, and you can change it very easily any time that you wish. Stark Cabinets
Frequently a white kitchen will also have cabinets that are also painted white or are a natural, pale wood tone. If your kitchen has pale colored cabinets, you can add instant punch by adding colorful hardware to your cabinets. By carrying through your accent color to your cabinets, you are tying the look of your kitchen together giving it a pleasing flow. Plants Bring Life
With a white base to your kitchen, you are letting the room appear open, airy and large. When you turn on your lights in a white kitchen you have a bright room that is perfect for preparing food. Another thing that you can do in a white kitchen is decorate with tile. You can add tile accents to counter tops, back splashes or in groupings on the wall. You can make colorful and decorative tile into handy trivets to protect your tabletops. By using the tiles throughout your kitchen, you are creating a cohesive and balanced look to the room. By adding splashes of colorful tile throughout the room, you are creating contrast and interest which helps the eye move around the room.
One of the best things about having a white kitchen is that it truly is a blank canvas, and that makes it easy to decorate for special events and holidays. When you add your reds and greens for Christmas, they define the room. However, at Easter when the kitchen is bedecked in pastels, there is no remaining hint left of Christmas. As the Fourth of July rolls around, everything is red, white and blue, so having an all white kitchen gives it a chameleon quality that makes it extremely fun and easy to update, even on a whim. Using the white palet gives one the options of a whole world of color for accents, which can be changed at will.

You write about tile floors in your article but I prefer the wood floors in your picture. I have added wood floors to many kitchens over the years and it goes with about any color including white.
