Setting Up a Business for Success with Feng Shui

Starting a new business is always a little risky, and you can stack the deck for success in your favor by using a few Feng Shui techniques to help you out. Feng Shui is an ancient Chinese art form that focuses on the effect of your surroundings on your success. By invoking the power of Feng Shui as you start your business, you and your business are off to a good start. Learning the Basics
If you are going to use Feng Shui to help gain success in your business, you should actually begin practicing it even before you have your location. Look for a high visibility location, right in the center of things, and avoid any location that is at the end of a blocked road. You also do not want to locate your business by a church or subway station, and do not connect your business in any way to death or bad luck. The Importance of the Entryway
The main entrance to your business should be a big as you can make it, because this entryway not only welcomes your customers to your business, but is also welcomes in the good energy that you are trying to attract for your business’ prosperity. Once inside, the energy should have a clear path through your entire building where customers and energy alike can smoothly flow throughout your business. By keeping your pathways open and unobstructed, you are not only letting the positive energy flow through your space, but your customers will be at ease as they shop, and perhaps they will want to linger and shop just a little longer. The Corner of Wealth
When you are using the tenets of Feng Shui on your new business, pay particular attention to the wealth corner. This is the southeast area of your business, and you will want to try to set it up diagonally from the main entrance. Keep this area clutter free, and make it bright and comfortable. This is the perfect area to locate your cash register as well as a small water fountain since running water brings with it prosperity. To encourage the flow of wealth to your business at all times, you must keep your water clear and running, because stale and stagnant water will impede the energy of prosperity of flowing to you. Clear Out Clutter
When using Feng Shui techniques, one of the biggest problems that your business can run into is clutter. Always edit your businesses’ contents. Get rid of things that you do not need, and only keep what you can use. Clutter blocks the flow of the very energy that you are trying to attract. If you get in the habit of keeping your business clutter free, you make a much more tranquil environment for your customers, your employees, and yourself. It is probably no surprise to you that your business will run better and be more profitable if you have helpful employees and happy customers. So by using some very basic Feng Shui techniques, you can get your business off to a strong start on the road to success.
