Dining Room Decor: Light up a Room with Metal Candle Decor
By Jessica Stockton
Candle wall art gives you an affordable option for creating a focal point or adding appeal and interest to the walls of a dining room. Candle wall art can be combined with other types of wall art or used on its own to create a striking display aglow with soft ambiance, perfect for creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere in a dining room. One caveat: It is essential that candle wall is perfectly level when mounted; this will reduce the possibility of damage to furniture, flooring or walls from dripping wax. Always use caution when candles are lit; never leave them unattended or within reach of pets or small children. But no precautions are needed with respect to decorating a dining room with metal candle décor: let them light up any room with style and embellish your favorite decorative style. Candle wall art will give your dining room furnishings a whole new attitude, illuminating colors and textures while creating dimension. Create a Focal Point To create a focal point on a large expanse of bare wall, choose a sizeable work of metal candle wall art that holds a multitude of candles. Many styles will accommodate six or more candles, allowing you to decorate with the flickering glow of candlelight on a grand scale. Choose from styles that will accent your dining room décor, from graphically simple modern styles to elaborate wrought iron or painted metal cottage style candle wall décor. Light and Mirrors Add mirrors to enhance the glow of candle wall art. Mirrored sconces in styles that vary from ornate Venetian glass mirrored candle wall art, to simple rustic framed mirrored candle holders or sophisticated modern mirrored sconces make it easy to add soft candle light above a buffet or console, or on either side of a window. Or try a framed wall mirror situated where it will reflect and magnify the effect of candle wall art. For a dramatic display that adds sparkle and elegance, mount three identical framed mirrors on a wall with a candle wall sconce between each mirror, using two sconces or two appropriately sized metal candle wall decors. Center the display just above eye level to create a flickering glow that can be most appreciated from a seated position at the dining room table. Additional candles on the table in elegant candle holders and arranged on trays or platters on a buffet or side board will contribute to the elegant atmosphere. Artistic Combinations Combine metal candle wall décor with metal wall art for a textural unified look that accents any decorative style. Let the candle wall art illuminate metal wall art in Tuscan themes, nautically inspired images, abstract contemporary metal wall art or any style that fits your preference. The interplay of candle light and metal wall art will add shadow and distinction to dining room walls. Let candle wall art highlight a striking work of canvas wall art, whether you choose to decorate with framed art or frameless canvas wall art. Metal wall art or candle wall sconces in a harmonizing style can balance and enhance the art, making colors more vivid and textures more apparent. However candle wall sconces or metal candle décor is used in a dining room, you will create drama, interest, visual appeal and inviting ambiance.
